We have had the same forum structure for a number of years, and we are thinking about adding new subforums to encourage other areas of discussion. Currently the garbage bin is such a melting pot of topic discussions, it is sometimes difficult to get a discussion going about a specific topic. We would like to hear from the community to see what new forum categories and areas of discussion you would like to see added. We are not looking to add too many specialized categories that overwhelm a person from finding the right place to post, but rather one or two popular categories that would be better off having their own place to discuss their topics without getting lost in the mix of the garbage bin.

What subforums would you like to see added, if any? A general 'other games' or game-specific forum? A music, video, or general entertainment forum perhaps? Be sure to let us know of any other thoughts, comments, or suggestions you may have!

After months of long and intense labor negotiations, the Team LA Fantasy Football Showdown has agreed to a deal for an undisclosed amount of time in the future. This means the regular season will continue as scheduled with no further interruptions! With the actual NFL preseason already underway, I know everyone's excitement for this year's FFS can hardly be contained.

We will once again be hosting our league on NFL.com and if you were already a participant last year, you are automatically signed up for this year! If for whatever reason you cannot participate this year, please let me know as soon as possible so that I may be able to make the appropriate changes and adjustments to the league. If you are a new and interested in joining the league, you can sign up and register using the information a little further down in this post.

I'm very pleased to see that EVERYONE from last year's league has chosen to participate again this year. Not only that, but we are also welcoming at least two new challengers! Feel free to talk smack and let your opponent know what's what. This post and the league's message wall on the NFL.com are the go-to places for your ultimate LAFFS experience.

The big facelift of the forums is nearly complete, but there is one lacking feature that we still need (besides a thriving and active posting community): a new header logo! Instead of me taking all the spot light with my MS Paint skills, I am offering the 10 people who frequent the forums a chance to decorate the forum header logo in their own style!

There will be no no sole winner of this event; instead, submissions will be added to a folder and the logos will alternate randomly each time the site refreshes (or daily or weekly; no Idea how I'm going to get it to work yet). It doesn't matter if you are a seasoned veteran of graphic design or just starting to branch away from the crayolas, let's see some creativity.

I've attached two files below that will make submissions a breeze. The second one is a .PSD of the default IPS logo with layers, fonts, and effects, the first file is a plain .PNG of the background in which you can use as your base if you don't have photoshop.

No real guidelines or rules to follow; but please keep the dicks to a minimum (you can still PM me dicks of course). Will probably get zero submissions, but just wanted to try and spark up some mind juices and stuuuuuuuuuuff.

There is something magical in the air this time of year--which is probably due to the pollution of increased energy use and carbon emissions to keep our homes comfortably cool during record breaking heat waves of the summer months. However, no problems can distract from what is really important: the start of the 2010 NFL season. The NFL training camps are starting, the first pre-season games are just a few weeks away, and Team LA is getting ready for this year's third annual Fantasy Football Showdown (FFS)!

NFL.com has greatly improved its Fantasy Football leagues this year that I feel make the navigation a lot easier to use for both seasoned veterans and league newcomers. Unfortunately login information from previous years of NFL.com Fantasy Football will no longer work, so everyone must register a new account if they wish to play.

In previous years people have reluctantly joined our league to satisfy the threats desires of the admins, but were never really interested and stopped participating early on in the season. This year we have decided on a slightly smaller 10-team league as opposed to previous years' 12-team leagues. We hope this change will allow active players to play competitively throughout the entire season. We encourage everyone who wants to participate to sign up immediately. If the league isn't full by about a week before the draft date, we will change the league from private to public to fill the remaining slots.

We have all been avoiding the issue of the server's inactivity for the past few months never wanting to think if the next month would really be the last. Though today, the rarely spoken topic of server closure is an unfortunate subject we have to address.

For a long while now our server's population has been minimal to non-existent. The "people must be too busy this time of year" excuse has tided our minds over far too many times and for far too long. While there have been multiple community attempts at revitalizing activity, no long lasting results have ever occurred.

Nearly 3 years ago, we formed a group who got along incredibly well and whose talents worked together with one another, along with serious commitment, to produce something amazing. With great sadness we officially announce that Team LA's WCS/ZM server will cease operations beginning May 1st, 2010.

Though the server may be shutting down, we would hate for all the connections and friendships made on our server to fade away or fall apart. Our website and community forums will continue to operate with hopes that activity will remain and hopefully increase with time. With the help and input of our members, we hope to explore possibilities of venturing off into new exciting endeavors in the future.

We can't thank you enough for the all the support you have provided that made this chapter of Team LA a memorable, wonderful, and huge success. We hope you stick around to be a part of our next big adventure.
